networking: “Developing individuals, communities and co-operation through global exchange” is the AIESEC motto. Recognised as the world’s largest student run organisation, AIESEC is a global network of 50,000 members from more than 83 countries and territories at more than 800 universities world-wide. Over the years, AIESEC has evolved into something that is animated by an endless energy. The young people who run this organisation have a hope for something better in the world, a hope that AIESEC tempers with a practical approach. With a growing network of partnering organisations and companies, AIESEC has been able to reach more students, provide them with life-changing experiences and make them ‘agents for change’. Each year, the organisation facilitates the international exchange of over 5,000 students and recent graduates.

learning sustainability: among the exchange activities and learning processes it offers, AIESEC has implemented several programs devoted to education on Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility issues. Some of these programs are:
  • Prosperar Project in Costa Rica: to integrate disabled people into the daily activities of life in contemporary society;

  • Make a Difference: students from Norway, India, Bangladesh and Nigeria co-operate towards diminishing the North-South gap.
What is common among all of AIESEC’s activities is the exchange process (or learning process): a series of different experiences, when put together, can lead to powerful change within an individual.
