Since 1950, global fossil fuel use has expanded by more than 3 and 1/2 times…- It accounts for % of commercial energy use: oil makes 41%, coal 25%, natural gas 24%;
- fossil fuels burning accounts for more than 80% of human-made CO2 emissions.
- 1996- 2010: in industrialized countries, oil dependency is projected to grow from 56% to more than 70%.
