In 2003, Japanese organic food & drink sales were about US$ 350-450 million…
According to recent forecasts:
 +15% per year until 2006.
Of 2003 total organic food sales (%)*:- 63 fruits & vegetables,
- 12.5 rice,
- 1-2 processed foods.
Estimates on total organic exports to Japan range from US$40 million to US$60 million, and growth rates between 30% and 50%.
* No data on meat and fish.
