Rising unemployment has hit young people hard, especially young women…
  • in 2003, the global youth unemployment rate was estimated at 14.4%: a 26.8% increase of the total number of young unemployed people over the past decade;


  • in over 1/4 of industrialised countries, the unemployment rate for young women is 20% higher than that for young men.
