CRUELTY FREE

Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics (CCIC) – a coalition of eight national animal protection groups. It promotes a single comprehensive standard and an internationally recognised ‘leaping bunny’ logo. They work with companies to help make shopping for animal-friendly products easier and more trust-worthy. On its website, more information on the international cruelty free (CF) label, international news on CF, a list of ‘good’ companies, and the form to receive (for free) your “compassionate pocket shopping guide”! [www.leapingbunny.org] recommended YXC

Cruelty free Australia (CCF) - this Australian NGO is devoted to the promotion of cruelty-free lifestyle and information on ‘not tested on animals’ products. CCF website contains a PPL (Preferred Products List) section listing companies and brand names that operate under a cruelty-free ethic. [www.choosecrueltyfree.org.au/index.html] recommended YXC

European Coalition to End Animal Experiments (ECEAE) – the organisation’s website provides useful links to some of the key animal protection societies from all over Europe. If you are a researcher, if you work (or would like to work) in the field of alternative tests, and/or if you are interested in supporting ECEAE lobbying work in Brussels as well within your own country, have a look!
