ENVIRONMENTAL PRIZES - INTERNATIONAL


European Awards for the Environment - aim to highlight policies, practices, processes and products from all sectors of business in the European Union which help achieve economic and social development without detriment to the environment and natural resources upon the quality of which continued human activity and further development depend. , [www.eu-environment-awards.org/html/european_environment.htm]

Green Week School Competition - is organised on behalf of the European Commission's DG Environment by European Schoolnet. In 2005 the competition highlights the theme of climate change. Younger children may create drawings and paintings illustrating their views about climate change, while older pupils are invited to submit a short digital video on the same subject. Mediterranean Honorific Award – promoted by Mediterrānia CIE and MIO-ECSDE, this award is open to all those organisations in the Mediterranean region working on the protection and improvement of the environment.
