what do they do for YXC: Together with the Fundación Ecología y Desarrollo (Fondation for Ecology and Development), the European School of Consumers have edited 22.500 YXC guides in Spanish, distributed to Spanish Autonomous Regions and in schools associated to UNESCO in whole Spain. They have been very active as well in Latin America where guides have been sent to Consumers International. They have created a YXC didactic suitcase to support their practical workshops for students of secondary schools. This suitcase contains plenty of games to learn about sustainable consumption while playing. For instance, they created a board game on the 5-R (Reuse, Repair, Recycle, Recuperate, Reduce) and a game more focused on water issue. latest news on YXC: - In March 2007, a bus has travelled around the Autonomous Region of Murcia with a group of instructors. They have carried out workshops in the bus and also in the schools.
- In March 2007, we have carried out a training course for teachers of 9 new centres in the Autonomous Region of Extremadura. One of the practical workshops was the YXC workshop and each centre has received one YXC suitcase.
- Seminar Comenius in Sofia/Bulgaria where we have shown the YXC material in its exhibition.
future plans for youthXchange: they would like to introduce the YCX material in some other Spanish Autonomous Regions.
