what:Swishing is the Eco-glamorous way to recycle your clothes, shoes and accessories. The Art of Swishing involves getting your friends together to swap gorgeous clothes and party at the same time. Every lady must bring at least one good quality, clean item of clothing, or an accessory, that she'd feel proud to hand on (Large sacks of designer frocks are also gratefully received. And people who bring along anyone else with a bulging wardrobe). The Swishing Party concept came from a desire to give women who love both shopping and the environment the thrill of retail therapy without contributing to increased consumption. In effect, it allows women to commit to a cause that helps the environment and that allows them to dress well while doing it.
To throw a swishing party:- Pick a date and place, download an invite and send it to your friends;
- Use rails, ladders, chairs to lay clothes out - get creative;
- Once most attendees have arrived, explain the rules and then countdown to the Opening of the Swish.
